Connection guide TopStep + TraderPilot

Log in to your TopStep account and navigate to API settings.

1. 1Log in to your account at the TopStep portal (topstep.com).
2. 2Navigate to Settings > API Access in the sidebar menu.
3. 3Click "Generate New API Key".
4. 4Assign a descriptive name like "TraderPilot" to identify it.
5. 5Select permissions: Trading (Read/Write) and Account Info (Read).
6. 6Confirm and copy the generated API Key. Store it safely — it's only shown once.

Download the desktop app from your dashboard and follow the installer.

1. 1Sign in to traderpilot.net and go to your Dashboard > Download.
2. 2Download the .exe installer for Windows.
3. 3Run the installer and follow the on-screen instructions.
4. 4Once installed, open TraderPilot from your desktop.

Enter your license key to activate the application.

1. 1When you open TraderPilot for the first time, you'll see the activation screen.
2. 2Go to your Dashboard > License and copy your license key.
3. 3Paste the key into the activation field in the app.
4. 4Click "Activate" and wait for confirmation.

Link your TopStep account with TraderPilot using the API Key.

1. 1In TraderPilot, go to Settings > Broker Connection.
2. 2Select "TopStep" as the platform.
3. 3Paste your API Key in the corresponding field.
4. 4Click "Connect" and wait for verification.
5. 5You'll see a green indicator confirming a successful connection.

Choose a strategy, adjust risk parameters, and activate the bot.

1. 1Go to the "Strategies" section in TraderPilot.
2. 2Select one of the pre-configured strategies or create your own.
3. 3Adjust parameters: position size, stop-loss, take-profit, and daily loss limit.
4. 4Click "Activate" to start automated trading.
5. 5Monitor performance in real time from the main dashboard.
